The ceremony was held on April 11 at Makassed University in Beirut.

    UK donates £5 million to UNDP’s Host Communities Programme

    British Ambassador to Lebanon Tom Fletcher along with UN Humanitarian and Resident Coordination and UNDP Resident Representative in Lebanon, Ross Mountain visited the village of Bar Elias in the Bekaa region on April 1st 2014 in order to announce new aids donated by the UK government to assist the Lebanese communities hosting Syrian Refugees.

    UK donates £5 million to UNDP’s Host Communities Programme

    British Ambassador to Lebanon Tom Fletcher visited Bar Elias in the Bekaa region where he announced a new commitment of £5 million of UK funding to UNDP’s Host Communities Programme. The programme will address the need for increased delivery of basic services in the areas most affected by the Syrian refugee influx.

    Civil-Military Cooperation Community Outreach interventions in Beirut

    Under the High Patronage of the Army Commander in Chief, the United Nations Development Programme project “Addressing Urban Host Spots in Lebanon” in partnership with the Lebanese Army launched a ceremony for equipping four centers with medical equipment intended for the poor and the most vulnerable in Beirut area: Mazraa, Tariq El Jdidi, Sabra and Burj Abi Haidar. The ceremony was held on Tuesday February 18th at the Central Military Club – Beirut.

    UNDP honors dedicated efforts of local leaders in Palestinian Gatherings

    Under the patronage of the Lebanese Palestinian Dialogue Committee, UNDP and UN-HABITAT organized a ceremony in honor of 38 municipalities and popular committees at the Grand Serail of Beirut on February 25, 2014. The ceremony celebrated the achievements of the project “Improving the Living Conditions in Palestinian Gatherings” during 2013 and honored the dedication and cooperation of local leaders who made these achievements possible.
