Youth of Qara’oun: an example of a peace building generationSep 14, 2015“The road to peace starts with believing in those who reach out to help. It is considering violence as a weakness and forgiveness as being better than revenge.” With this statement, UNDP consultant Mr. Fadi Abi Allam opened a three-day training session with youth from Qara’oun, West Bekaa. As part of the Mechanisms for Social Stability (MSS), the UNDP “Peace Building in Lebanon” project organized these training sessions funded by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development through KfW in order to train and prepare the youth coming from different backgrounds and nationalities to deal with social pressures and build strong positive relations between them.
