“Live Lebanon” in cooperation with BBAC rehabilitates Beni Sakher public school
UNDP’s Live Lebanon Initiative in partnership with BBAC launched a project aimed at equipping Beni Sakher Public School in Wadi Khaled, North Lebanon with the support of Goodwill Ambassador Mrs. Bouran Boueiry. The ceremony was held at the school attended by representatives from the UNDP and BBAC along with a number of professors.
After the national anthem, the school director Mrs Halloum Othman held a speech in which she commended the efforts made by “Live Lebanon” to support the public school and thanked all those who participated in the completion of the project.
On the other hand, Ms. Hanin Fakih UNDP representative thanked all the partners in the implementation of the project and praised the commitment of the program in supporting such initiatives throughout Lebanon and helping public schools to improve infrastructure to promote a healthy environment for students.
BBAC Branch Manager in Tripoli Mina, Mr Ali Dawrish, highlighted the importance of this project since it affects young people who represent the future of Lebanon, who must be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure a healthy and prosperous future.
As for Mrs. Bouran Boueiry, she expressed her happiness for the completion of this project and confirmed her relentless support for the "Live Lebanon" initiative in order to achieve sustainable development.
The importance of this project lies in rehabilitating the school to improve educational services for students and provide them with a safe environment. In fact, the initiative has equipped classrooms and teachers’ rooms with basic facilities required and provided major infrastructure for the scientific laboratory at the school.
It is worth mentioning that “Live Lebanon” initiative is working to support the Lebanese regions and local institutions with an endeavor to delivering the best services in light of the current social and economic conditions.
