Live Lebanon & BBAC provide generator for the village of Marwaheen

The village of Marwaheen located in Tyr, South of Lebanon, inaugurated the provision of a generator for the village with the support of Goodwill Ambassador Mr Fadi Salameh and UNDP “Live Lebanon” initiative and in partnership with Bank of Beirut and Arab Countries (BBAC) at a ceremony held in the town hall in the presence of mayors, village chiefs and social actors.

After the national anthem, the mayor of Marwaheen, Mr Mohammed Obeid, delivered a speech in which he thanked those who participated in the completion of the project and commended the efforts of "Live Lebanon" initiative in achieving a balanced development across Lebanon. Obeid stressed the importance of this project as it reduces rationing hours and provides the town's residents with permanent electricity.

On his part, BBAC Branch Manager in Tyr, Mr Hani Bzoun, praised the Bank commitment in supporting the local society without any distinction or discrimination. In his speech, UNDP representative Mr Raghed Assi highlighted the commitment of “Live Lebanon” initiative in boosting such development projects to include all Lebanese territory in a balanced manner by the available channels. In fact, “Live Lebanon” initiative always seeks to support the most disadvantaged communities in Lebanon to achieve a better standard of living at all levels.

As for Mr Fadi Salameh, he expressed his happiness for the completion of this project, stressing his continuous support for "Live Lebanon" initiative in order to help disadvantaged communities get a better life.
