Decentralized PV Design Best-Practice Guidelines and Lessons Learnt Workshop

May 16, 2018

The Small Decentralized Renewable Energy Power Generation Project (DREG) funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Energy and Water, organized on the 14th of May, 2018 a workshop titled “Decentralized PV Design Best-Practice Guidelines and Lessons Learnt Workshop”.

In the absence of a local photovoltaics code and clear technical requirements that should be respected by Lebanese PV system integrators, the purpose of this workshop was to shed the light on common technical issues and less-than-optimal practices in the photovoltaics field, specifically in Lebanon, and to present the system integrators with a detailed methodology for each topic so that the technical approach to PV projects is unified and abiding by international standards. The workshop’s content will be compiled and published in a detailed technical guide to be disseminated to the public.
